Do you think that Mimi Carey might get a nomination for PRECIOUS? People like such shocking transformations.
I don't think her chances are too great, to be honest. Academy members are kind of snobs. The actors branch is the biggest and they probably don't consider her one of the club. Not yet, anyway.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see her get a nod at the Globes, though. They LOVE star power. See Tom Cruise's nomination for Tropic Thunder and Madonna's 1996 win for proof of that. :)
Mo'Nique, Moore, Kendrick, Pike, and Cruz. Mo'Nique wins it, I think. The Academy has really loved villains lately.
